ONEROOMSHOW

SEMINAR | EXHIBITION
RECORDER 2 | Scharnhorststraße 68
14 - 16.03.2025

As part of a cooperation between the Rekorder II and the artistic work area Painting, Digital and Expanded Painting at the Seminar for Art and Art Studies at TU Dortmund University, students developed an exhibition concept for the Vereinsraum am Dortmunder Hafen in the winter semester 24/25 under the direction of Ulvis Müller.

The concept - echoes of past narratives and silhouettes of futuristic pictorial spheres unfold a stage space that detaches the painting from its two-dimensionality and allows it to be experienced as a walk-in scenery. The staggering of his painterly elements arises from a play of perspectives, fragments and superimpositions. The static one room is transformed into a dynamically choreographed show in which the boundaries between image and stage, viewer and viewed are blurred.

Collectively developed works and works by Samra Besic, Evgenia Bittermann, Antonia Börsting, Jerome Braun, Alicja Breuing, Nina Burrichter, Melissa Herrmann, Lisa Hühn, Tiana Klose, Eva-Maria Overhage, Kathrin Oztronsek, Elly Plinta, Mila Primke, Nico Speer, Dulana Tillmann, Josefine Vriesen, Sandy Zesko and Hannah Zühlke were shown.

Under the title ONEROOMSHOW - SPLIT ENDS AND NEW BEGINNINGS, the students opened the exhibition on Friday, 14.03.25 at 6 pm.
