Welcome to the information page for prospective students of the Department of Art and Art Studies at the Technical University of Dortmund. The ‘Seminar for Art and Art Studies’ at the ‘Institute for Art and Material Culture’ at the Technical University of Dortmund is divided into three areas: Artistic Work, Art History and Art Didactics.  This ensures professional standards in the respective fields of work and is the basis for their networking with regard to the common tasks in teacher training, which are expressed in the objectives of the teaching professions. All applicants must take an aptitude test before beginning the degree programme.
